What Would You Do With $1,000,000,000?

But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day . Dueteronomy 8:18

If I had a million dollars I know exactly what I would do! I would become debt-free in an instant, I would tithe (and wouldn't my church be happy!), and I would finance the building of the PreachSista! ministry center. While I may know WHAT I would do with a million dollars; I do not know HOW it will get into my hands. ... But I believe that one day I will have a million dollars (and then some!).

I believe I will have the money because I am holding on to Dueteronomy 8:18. I will have what I need and desire because I am trusting in the Word of God ... not in "world systems". If I trusted in world systems I would be looking for a get rich quick scheme; I would play the lottery; or I would be wishing for a rich uncle to leave me a fortune. Does trusting in the Word of God mean that I am going to quit my job and just wait by the mailbox for the $1,000,000,000 check. No way!

I plan to continue working as a college professor until God tells me to dedicate all my "work hours" to ministry. I enjoy teaching, but the dream of a ministry center is something that will not go away. I believe it is a dream given to me by God. And, if it was given to me by God, then He will be One to get the money into my hands.

I also believe that if we never dream BIG dreams, we will never have the BIG money to finance the dream. So, What dreams do you have? What would you do with $1,000,000,000?
